Summary
The Order Puller is responsible for accurately locating, picking, verifying, and staging raw materials, components, and parts required for manufacturing, production, and other internal operations within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This position ensures materials are pulled according to system-generated pick tickets and production requirements, with a strong emphasis on inventory accuracy, material identification, traceability, and timely delivery to designated staging areas or departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Reviews and interprets system-generated pick tickets, work orders, and material requests to determine required parts, quantities, and delivery locations.
  • Locates and retrieves materials from designated warehouse shelves, bins, racks, and storage areas.
  • Accurately verifies part numbers, descriptions, quantities, heat numbers, and material identification against pick tickets and system records.
  • Uses the ERP system to review material availability, identify inventory locations, and confirm material requirements.
  • Picks, stages, and delivers materials for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and other internal departments according to established priorities and production schedules.
  • Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies, missing materials, incorrect bin locations, damaged parts, and other material issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Operates forklifts, powered pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Assists with inventory cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and safe warehouse aisles, storage areas, and material staging locations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse, order picking, material handling, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to picking accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and other issues promptly and accurately.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily within a warehouse and heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling, as well as occasional operation of powered industrial equipment. Required personal protective equipment must be worn in designated areas.
