Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support our manufacturing operations through the setup and operation of both manual and CNC machining equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with precision machining, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality parts to print specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Set up, program, and operate a Milltronics MB-20 CNC mill
  • Set up and operate a Bridgeport knee mill, manual lathe, and surface grinder
  • Operate H&S flange facing machines to resurface raised face, flat face, RTJ, and specialty flanges
  • Set up, align, and secure flange facing equipment according to manufacturer procedures
  • Measure and verify flange dimensions, surface finish, and tolerances using precision instruments
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting inserts for various materials
  • Perform basic CNC conversational programming and editing as required
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • These are the key responsibilities but not limited to. This position at times may be asked to assist in other production areas utilizing their skills and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a machinist in a job shop or manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Bridgeport knee mills
    • Manual lathes
    • Surface grinders
    • Milltronics MB-20 CNC mills (or similar CNC milling machines)
  • Ability to read and understand GD&T
  • Experience with precision measurement and inspection tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNC programming experience specific to Milltronics controls
  • Experience machining a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, etc.)
  • Formal machining or technical training
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
Work Environment
  • Machine shop environment with exposure to noise, cutting fluids, and metal chips
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
